Are you ready to get a Jump Start on your college career?

We understand that the college application process can seem daunting. Allow us to ease you into SRJC through the JumpStart Program. The JumpStart program is designed to assist high school seniors in enrolling and registering for college before they graduate.

By participating in JumpStart, you will: 

  • Complete an SRJC online application
  • Complete a Financial Aid Application, even if you believe you may not qualify; it's worth a try. Note that scholarships are now integrated into the FAFSA.
  • Complete an Online Orientation.
  • Attend an Education Plan Workshop in the Spring semester before graduation. Create an academic plan with an SRJC counselor, guiding you on class selection and scheduling.
  • Be a part of an end-of-the-year celebration!

Students are strongly encouraged to take the following Counseling courses in the Spring Semester:

  • COUN 6 - Helps students decide on a major
  • COUN 60 - Helps students develop better study habits
  • COUN 53 - Helps students develop college success
  • COUN 80 - Helps students be ready to transfer to a 4-year college
